What you’ll need

  • A Linux host or VM you control (Ubuntu 22.04+ / RHEL 9+), or a spare machine — 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM is plenty for discovery.
  • Docker + Docker Compose (we bring the images; the free tier runs entirely on your side).
  • One network segment to point the sensor at — a VLAN, a subnet, or a single host to start.
  • About 20 minutes with someone who can run a container and describe your network.
